From your client interface, you can set your own payment and withdrawal limits at ATMs for your business payment card according to your company's needs.

However, you cannot exceed the monthly withdrawal limit. This amount varies according to your debit card range: 

1. €1,000 with the One card;
2. €2,000 with the Plus card;
3. €5,000 with the X card.

Each Qonto plan automatically includes a predefined number of One cards. For example, you get 2 payment cards with our Standard offer.

You can order additional Mastercard Business cards as needed. Each additional debit card incurs an extra cost of €5.

If you want to enjoy the benefits of the Plus card, it will cost you €8 per month. As for the X card and its premium services, you will pay €20 per month.

Note that the allocation of our professional Mastercard Business payment cards does not require any income conditions.

Do you want to benefit from deferred debit for your Plus or X card? It's entirely possible and it won't cost you anything extra!

Here are the eligibility criteria to benefit from Qonto's deferred debit card:

• your business has been operating for at least 6 months (not necessarily at Qonto);
• your company's headquarters must be located in France, Germany, Spain, or the Netherlands;
• your company must be active with stable revenues over the past 6 months.

Note that Qonto conducts additional checks. Therefore, your eligibility and the credit amount granted may vary over time.

Additionally, Qonto reserves the right to revoke access to the deferred debit card if your company is subject to seizures for debts contracted with professionals, individuals, or financial institutions, or if your account is not funded during the debit, for example.

If eligible, you can order your Plus or X card with deferred debit directly from your Qonto app.

If you already have a Plus or X card, you will need to order a new payment card to replace the existing one. This new card will be labeled “deferred debit” and will work for both immediate and deferred debit.

The virtual payment card

Using a physical bank card presents several risks for its owner: theft, loss, or hacking, especially with phishing. To combat this issue, many online banks and financial management solutions have developed a range of virtual payment cards.

They function in the same way as a traditional payment card, but you can only make online payments for your company's business expenses.

Like with a physical credit card, you complete your order by entering your virtual card number, expiration date, and security code (CVV).

Opt for a recurring virtual bank card if you want to use it to pay for your various SaaS software subscriptions. For added protection, Qonto requires you to enter a confidential code systematically to validate each payment. The risk of your banking data being stolen disappears!

3D Secure

3D Secure is a security protocol aimed at preventing fraud in online credit card payments.

When making a purchase on a website equipped with 3D Secure technology, you must provide a unique security number in addition to your usual banking data (account holder's name, bank card number, expiration date, and security code).

Typically, your bank or payment institution sends you this code via SMS to ensure that you are indeed the person making the online purchase.

The online merchant site where you make your purchases must be equipped with 3D Secure to secure your online payments using this system. But your business card must also have it. Be sure to check this information when making your comparison to choose your professional online bank.

Can't find your professional bank card anymore? Have you noticed suspicious transactions on your account statement indicating that you are a victim of data theft?

React immediately and contact your bank to block your card. From then on, your debit card becomes unusable if it falls into the wrong hands. To confirm your opposition, send a registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt to your bank.

Note that with a traditional bank, you cannot unblock it if you recover it after initiating the blocking procedure. You are obliged to wait to receive your new payment card.

With Qonto, blocking your payment card from your app is not irrevocable. You can unblock it with a click if you find it. However, if you have truly lost it, you can order a new one from the interface.

Debit cards represent the vast majority of payment cards used in France (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, etc.). However, due to a misuse of language, the term credit card is often used, although it refers to a different type of card that is much less common in France.

Linked to the company's current account, the debit card allows you to perform the following operations:

1. Cash withdrawals from ATMs in France and abroad;
2. Payments in establishments equipped with payment terminals;
3. Online purchases.

The deferred debit card allows you to postpone the payment of a purchase made. For example, with a 25-day payment deferral, the company's bank account will only be debited 25 days after your purchases.

The operation of this payment card is similar to a credit card, but it does not incur interest payments.

This type of card is particularly suitable for certain employees, such as salespeople or employees who advance many travel expenses for their business trips.

Thus, their current account will only be debited after their pay slip is issued and their salary is received. This is a major advantage to avoid confronting your employees with personal cash flow problems.

However, note that the deferred debit card period is set and predefined by your bank, you cannot modify it according to the company's business expenses.

Therefore, it requires some habit to avoid confusing the different payment deadlines.

The immediate debit card instantly reflects purchases on the current account after payment. Generally, it takes 2 to 3 days before the transaction made with the debit card appears on the banking interface.

No unpleasant surprises with an immediate debit business card, you can view your expenses in real time and know your account balances. A real plus for managing your cash flow.

If you have opted for a Plus or X card, you can benefit from the deferred debit option at no extra cost. The deferred debit card limit is a maximum of €15,000.

Nothing prevents you from being overdrawn with a deferred debit card if the threshold allows it. While payment with a pre-authorization debit card is impossible if the user wants to make a payment that exceeds the set limit.
